BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is the use of balance, movement and leverage, along with strategy to bring your opponent/attacker down to the ground. BJJ teaches you to take away their balance, limit their movement and gain leverage over your opponent to defeat them by submission without harming them. BJJ uses taping as a way to stop training before someone is hurt when practicing submissions. Submissions are controlled joint locks and chokes.
Training BJJ is a fun, thoughtful game of human chess as both people seek a dominant and submission. Though challenging, fun and difficult at times, BJJ provides a lot of benefits; self defense, confidence, self belief, strength, flexibility and Grit. All of these aspects transfer over to all places in your life. 

KID'S GRIT JIU JITSU

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is widely regarded as one of the most effective martial arts in the world and classes at GRIT are geared toward character development and personal growth. Give your child the opportunity to learn self defense, social skills, discipline, and respect in a fun & active environment.
Grit uses concepts and philosophy of BJJ to teach respect, responsibility, integrity, as well as building strong, confident bully proof kids and teens. Grit divides kids by ages and experience. 
Little Turtles/Turtles: 5-6 years old
Little Ninjas: 7-10 years old
Ninjas: 10-13 years old

GRIT STRIKING

Grit Striking favors a Dutch Muay Thai style along with incorporating different styles of striking that have been tested in boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA competitions. Grit's Striking System evaluates strikes and techniques based off risk and effectiveness of each strike. Striking is an overall great workout that will challenge your balance, movement, speed and power as well as endurance. Grit welcomes people looking for a workout and striking for self defense and also people looking to compete in combat sports.

KIDS/TEENS KICKBOXING

Grit kids striking carries the same principles and fundamentals as the adults striking program, as a way to enforce characters of honesty, integrity, self improvement and GRIT. As kids advance in their striking, fundamentals and proficiency, they will be ranked up within the Grit belt system. 
Kids Kickboxing: 7-10 years old
Teen Kickboxing: 11-14 years old

FITNESS

Grit's fitness program is based on high intensity intervals designed to keep your heart rate up. Grit Fit focuses on cross training, HIIT intervals, cardio, and an overall full body workout. In Grit Fit, you focus on going at your own pace to better yourself.
